Open House is TODAY! We hope you will attend! Critical data points will be shared. These data points are critical to your child's success in mastering grade level content. During Open House, we ask you to take a few minutes to stop by one of the computer labs to take the School Climate Survey. Students will earn Enterprise Bucks if you take the survey during Open House. Enterprise Bucks will be used on March 20th - Enterprise Day. Your first stop tonight will be your child's classroom. The final stop will be the gym to build an ice cream sundae or popcorn mix.
Last year we celebrated one of our school board members, Courtney Lackey-Wilson, during School Board Recognition Month. We were so inspired by her gift of service to Mansfield ISD that we decided to honor her legacy by naming January 11th as Courtney Lackey-Wilson Day! This year we will be honoring her service and dedication to education by providing parents and the community opportunities to give back to our school through service, donation of money or requested items. Stop by the "Giving Station" today during Open House to choose a method to give back to our school. However you choose to give, please make sure you have a conversation with your child about how you chose to give and the importance of serving, giving and making an impact on their community. We will also send home a booklet for students to read about Ms. Lackey-Wilson's service. We hope this will spark conversation about how they may start considering ways to serve their community! No act of service is too small to make a difference!
If you are looking for an opportunity to serve, PTA is looking for volunteers to help with selling items in the Brockett Bucks store on Thursday. Email email@example.com if you are available to assist for 30 minutes or the full day.
Reminder: Monday, January 20th school will be closed to recognize Martin Luther King's birthday. January 31st is the deadline for 4th grade parents to pay the final installment for the Austin field trip on April 9th.
